Legal Counsel - Marketing Consumer Protection (Maternity Cover) (m/f/d)

What we’re looking for

As a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) with focus on IP, marketing and consumer protection, you will provide pragmatic legal advice across our e-commerce operations. You will also support the team in various other areas relating to the company’s legal rights and obligations, including supply chain contracts and warranty cases. 

Responsibilities:

• Providing advice on managing legal risks relating to intellectual property, marketing and consumer protection, including unfair competition law (UWG) and social media campaigns.

• Drafting and reviewing contracts in the above-mentioned areas. 

• Supporting the delivery of training sessions  in the above-mentioned areas.

• Providing legal support for international, cross-functional projects in areas such as  marketing (including social media), private brands and customer experience.

• Researching and analyzing proposed and existing laws and regulations.

• Providing flexible legal support in various e-commerce-related areas, including transportation, customs, contracts ( e.g. with suppliers and IT), corporate law, commercial law, and  customer care matters, as required by the business. 

• Preparing and reviewing legal documents and reports for internal stakeholders.

• Contributing to process optimization within the department.

Requirements:

• Two successfully completed state examinations in law

• At least 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a company or law firm

• Willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law

• Structured, flexible and solution-oriented way of working

• Strong procedural and analytical thinking skills as well as the ability to structure, analyze and summarize complex issues in a targeted manner

• Strong service orientation and quality awareness

• Hands-on mentality and ability to work in a team, understanding and enthusiasm for economic contexts

• Strong communication, organizational and team skills

• Very good written and spoken German (C2) and English (C1), further language skills, especially Russian, an advantage
