What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Compliance Specialist to support our global compliance efforts with a focus on anti-money laundering (AML), export controls, and other financial regulations. This role ensures our operations align with international standards and legal requirements, helping safeguard our business and reputation. You will work across teams, provide expert guidance, and help strengthen our internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support on data privacy, export controls and sanctions, anti-corruption, AML, antitrust law, and business ethics

  • Analyze, improve, and monitor compliance processes and internal controls

  • Maintain and update global compliance standards and documentation

  • Coordinate and deliver compliance training sessions (online and in-person)

  • Lead or support internal investigations and collaborate with external legal advisors as needed

  • Monitor business activities for compliance risks and support mitigation strategies

  • Stay informed on legal developments and support company-wide adaptation to regulatory changes

Qualifications:

  • A legal degree (e.g., First German State Exam or equivalent)

  • Proven experience (e.g. 2-4 years) in compliance within an international organization or consultancy

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote ethical practices across diverse teams

  • Cultural sensitivity and an international mindset

  • High level of discretion, integrity, and reliability

  • Confidence handling complex compliance issues and diverse stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written); additional languages such as German, Russian, or Ukrainian are a plus
